Urban
Soccer Leadership Academy provides high quality affordable soccer skill and
leadership development. We strive to ensure that any child with the desire, commitment, and ability to play be afforded the opportunity regardless of financial ability. USLA offers a very competitive and affordable program as a standard across the board, however, fundraiser and scholarship discounts are given as a way to offset the operational costs incurred each time a player registers to play a programmed season with USLA. Each season an Annual Budget will be available for review and approval by the Board of Directors.
Scholarships are awarded based on eligibility. Scholarships are available for those who:
- Have 2 or more siblings playing with USLA (same season)
- Players who meet the previous years Annual Household size to income ratio
- Other - Financial Hardship verified and approved by USLA DOA and/or Board Treasurer
In order to be considered for the Scholarship Discount, a scholarship application form must be submitted along with your registration form. USLA Director of Administration and the Board Treasurer will review your application and determine your qualification status. Scholarship Applications must be submitted seasonally and will not considered valid unless approved by USLA DOA and/or Treasurer. Upon approval, Parent of Player is required to submit a copy of their tax return or proof of income for the current year to be attached to their Application.
NOTE: Failure to turn in the required verification documents will result in player ineligibility AND an ban from USLA for all future seasons or until player is compliance.
A twenty-five (25%) to fifty (50%) fundraising discount (off the initial per player cost) is offered as an option to each player and family. If you select Fundraising Discount Options, you are required to participate and complete the fundraising commitment(s) by the deadlines listed in the Master Schedule.
NOTE: Failure to complete fundraisers will result in player ineligibility AND an ban from USLA for all future seasons or until player is compliance.
